Sustainable design thinking

What can we do?

How can we be more sustainable and reduce the footprint we have on the planet?

I think we can all agree to an extent that we need to be more conscious of the our environment. We all have a responsibility to protect it.
Don’t worry this isn’t going to be a rant about climate change. This is a short information piece about how we as a design agency are approaching the subject.

Climate change

Updating the process

As designers, we love to tell stories through our work. Using a systematic way of thinking and applying it to our practices, we can address each touchpoint individually. Making small, but meaningful changes along the way.

Our job is to solve problems by providing solutions. For starters, providing innovative and sustainable alternatives in our designs can ensure a lower consumption of non-renewable resources. This will lessen our company waste. We are looking at what can be improved at all stages of the design process. Whether that is using less electricity in the office, printing less or using sustainable materials that have longevity. By eliminating ineffective ways of working, we will cut down on time spent doing certain tasks. Ultimately becoming more efficient and cost effective as a company.

For us, bringing value to a project is our ultimate goal. We see these alternate ways of approaching a project as positive. Unlocking pathways which we may not have previously thought of. Opportunities to learn and grow.

By eliminating ineffective ways of working, we will cut down on time spent doing certain tasks. Ultimately becoming more efficient and cost effective as a company.

It is unrealistic to think that our efforts alone will make a noticeable change. Using a cumulative approach and making small adjustments where we can, it could all start to make a real difference.

We all have a role to play and we are ready.
